A short biography of Edmund Spenser included his plan to write the a certain poem which he supposed to be 12 books long. The title of the poem is The Faerie Queen. However, when Spenser died on January 13, 1599, only half of his work was finished.

If your options are: A. Restful, B. Hopeful, C. Excited, and D. Depressed - in my opinion, the correct answer is B. Hopeful. The speaker is not restful, nor is this pure excitement or depression. He is rather distressed because of all the troubles he mentions, but he still tries to reconcile with the fact that life is what it is - it mixes sunshine with the clouds and the rain, and treats all people equally. These thoughts underline hope. He still grieves, but hope won't let him turn the grief into despair.

pickupchik [31]

Types of persuasive techniques

The three types of persuasive strategies are logos, ethos and pathos, or L.E.P. The most effective persuasive communication usually has a mix of all three strategies. Logos uses logic or reason to reach a conclusion, while ethos depends upon the credibility of the author or source as support for action.
