The resultant force is the sum of all forces positioned at different directions and placed in a specific angle. In this case, we can take the short way to answer this problem. we use the calculator and shift the mode to complex to add 100<50 and 50<160. the answer is 95.29<79.54. The magnitude is 95.29 pounds and the angle is 79.54<span>°.</span>

Magnitude:

v1= \ \textless \ 100cos50, 100sin50\ \textgreater \ ⇒ v1= \ \textless \ 64.28, 76.6\ \textgreater \

v2=\ \textless \ 50cos160, 50sin160\ \textgreater \ ⇒ v2=-46.98, 17.1\ \textgreater \

v1+v2 = \ \textless \ 17.3, 93.7\ \textgreater \
the magnutude of this vector is 95.29 pounds

Direction:

To find the direction you can do 17.3=|v| cosθ and the magnitude of the vector (|v|) was already found to be 95.29 so now solve for theta (θ), use your calculator and you get the angle θ=79.52°

Which is the best estimate of the correlation coefficient for the variables in the scatter plot?
V125BC [204]

By using a scatter plot we can get the relationship of two variables or correlation.

There will be two types of correlation.

If the data of the plot show a positive slope of the estimated line then it will be a positive correlation.

Now a correlation value lie between 0 to 1 if it is very close to 0 like 0.1 , 0.2 then we can say the correlation is weak psitively correlated. and if it will be close to 1 like 0.8 or 0.9 then the correlation will be strong.

Similarly if slope of the estimated line will be negative then it will be a negative correlation.

From the above scatter plot notice that it has a negative slope and we can draw a fair estimate line on this scatter plot. So, there is strong negative correlation.

Hence the correct choice is -0.8.

Sin = opposite/hypothenuse
Given opposite = 16
Hypothenuse = ?
Use Pythagorean theorem to find hypothenuse

12^2 + 16^2 = h^2
144 + 256 = h^2
h^2 = 400, h = 20

You know hypothenuse is 20
Opposite/hypothenuse

Solution: 16/20
