1. Full disarming. Germany basically agreed to have no standing army whatsoever.
2. Germany lost over half of it's territory in the treaty.
3. Germany had to pay A LOT of money in damages + interest.
The branches work against eachother when it comes to laws. The legislative branch makes laws, but the President can veto those laws with a Presidential Veto. The legislative branch makes laws, but the judicial branch can declare those laws unconstitutional.
B)Railroads - more cities could access railroads and increase trade. was built more in the 1800s.Canals was a short-lived era. [ Railroads beginning in the late 1830s and early 1840s were built because they were faster and more reliable than Canals which were often destroyed by washouts of the banks and floods destroyed many canals. The first transcontinental was completed in 1869, by 1900 there<span>were 15 transcontinental railroads. ]</span>
<span>They were mad because the case gave Southern slaveholders growing power. To stop their power, many Northerners turned to the Republican party.</span>
