Answer:

At the start of the story, Jekyll is outgoing and healthy, but over the course of the events he slowly gets more ill/weak and becomes antisocial. From his confession we discover that this is because of him loosing control over his other side, Hyde. Since the effect of the potion has changed, Hyde becomes stronger while Jekyll grows weaker. As times goes on, Jekyll's mental and physical state continue to digress. Because of this, Jekyll regrets his actions.

Dr. Jekyll is a respected and relatively successful doctor at the beginning of the story. He is a prosperous man, known for being charitable and decent. However, as the story progresses, we learn that Dr. Jekyll has been engaging in strange behaviours that do not seem to match his character. Towards the end of the novel, we find that Dr. Jekyll has been engaging in experiments in order to separate his bad qualities from his positive ones. These experiments left him in the hand of Mr. Hyde, a personality that embodied only his negative qualities and thus became his "darker half."

What is a quatrain? an unstressed syllable followed by a stressed syllable two lines of verse that restate the theme a four-line
Alexandra [31]
A quatrain is a verse with four lines, or even a full poem containing four lines, having an independent and separate theme. Often one line consists of alternating rhyme, existing in a variety of forms. We can trace back quatrains in poetic traditions of various ancient civilizations, such as China, Ancient Rome, and Ancient Greece; and they continue to appear in the twenty-first century.

To explain how to answer the question, I got CONFUSED!!
Ipatiy [6.2K]
Ok, so technically, you have to answer if you think that Martys parents suspect if hes keeping the dog, if your answer is No or Yes you write it, then you go back to the book and write from the book whatever it is that supports your answer. then after that you have to explain if you think hes doing a good job hiding the dog.
hope i kind of helped :)

Read the excerpt from "Raymond's Run." Maybe she'd like to help me coach Raymond; she obviously is serious about running, as any
svet-max [94.6K]

This question is missing the options. I've found the complete question online. It is the following:

The text evidence in this excerpt best supports the idea that Squeaky:

A. is tired of running and would rather coach.

B. appreciates the strength of her competitor.

C. is proud because she won the race.

D. thinks people only smile a real smile when they win.

Answer:

The evidence supports the idea that Squeaky:

B. appreciates the strength of her competitor.

Explanation:

"Raymond's Run" is a short story by Toni Cade Bambara. It is narrated from Squeaky's perspective. She is Raymond's sister and is beautifully loyal to her brother, not accepting anyone saying anything to him about his being different. She is brave and feisty, ready to pick up a fight with anyone, including the girl mentioned in the excerpt we are analyzing here.

Once they compete, Squeaky begins to admire Gretchen. Squeaky, being strong and honest herself, admires those same qualities in others. Gretchen put up a fight and tried her best during the race. For that reason, she has gained Squeaky's respect.
