Answer:

B. Improvement in telecommunications

D. Increased opportunities for global travel

Explanation:

Improvement in telecommunications:

When the discoveries and inventions like the telegraph, the telephone, and the television were innovated, instant communication was made possible.

The use of internet-based devices that enabled people to interact across large distances in real-time with computers trough emails, chats, and video calls paved the way for a culture of "living in a global village"

A Global village means that anyone can instantly interact with people in other parts of the world and form a conscious about social, political and economic events that develop a common background and a common culture.

The knowledge spread through massive media and telecommunications also enables better comprehension of other people.

D. Increased opportunities for global travel

With lowered prices for travelling, and the shared experiences of the media, more people began to travel worldwide in search of many goals:

Many wanted to carry out original ways of business, while others wanted to gain better insight into another culture, and some just desired to spend some vacations in a foreign land.

A global culture enabled the possibility to cross borders and open for new experiences that connected people from different origins, languages and religions.

In what ways did Caesar act like a king?
kondor19780726 [428]

Answer:

Julius Caesar began to reshape the Roman Republic by beginning to give himself authority over certain aspects other officials would get. For example, Caesar gained control of the consul (which were supposed to be two that held the "most" authority), the praetor (which were the replacements of the consuls), and other positions slowly without outright saying he was overruling their authority. He frequently ignored the suggestions of the Senate when it came to war and other affairs, and he basically did as much as he could to gain absolute power without everyone suspecting so. He even declared a civil war against Rome because his enemy, General Pompey, was rivalling his power. I hope this helps, Julius Caesar is a very interesting character!
