Rights which were given to citizens in the English Bill of Rights were:

  1. A frequently summoned Parliament and free elections
  2. Members should have freedom of speech in Parliament
  3. No armies should be raised in peacetime
  4. No taxes could be levied,without the authority of parliament
  5. Laws should not be dispensed with,or suspended,without the consent of parliament.
  6. No excessive fines should be imposed,nor cruel and unusual punishments inflicted.
  7. Freedom to elect members of parliament ,without the king or queen's interference
  8. Freedom from Royal interference with the law
  9. Freedom to petition the king.
  10. Freedom to bear arms for self-defence

The people who would of opposed Hamilton’s plans would of been that of the Democratic-Republicans who more less followed behind Thomas Jefferson. They believed that the country should be passed around that of a strict interpretation of the constitution with the thought that the economy should be based around that of agricultural rather than trade. The group was worried about Hamilton’s plans because they believed that it gave too much power to the government & opposed the national bank. They didn’t want a repeat of what they had experienced with Great Britain
