Legalism refers to the excessive use of law/regulations rather than communal efforts.If we observe closely, laws and regulations is imposed to protect the itnerest of some individuals from the intent of other individuals.

While the existence of law might be useful most of the cases, its excessive use would restrict the interaction that people have with one another (lead to antisocial behavior) and might be used to scrtutinize others (self-centered)<span />
