William Grant Still was an African American composer and musician born in Mississippi. His first music piece was full of an orchestra, which included the harp, banjo, and Celeste. This orchestra was in the symphonic form of blues and rhythm that was quite popular among the African American communities. Still's works are considered to be one of the recognized music among the African American communities and it also reflects their culture in classical form.
