A comfort room which is 2m by 2m has to be tiled with 30 cm by 30 cm tiles. Is 50 pieces tiles enough to cover the comfort room.
Allisa [31]

Answer:

yes

number of tiles needed = (200 x 200) / (30 x 30) = 44.4

Step-by-step explanation:

number of tiles needed = Area of comfort room / area of tiles

Area of a square = length²

convert area of comfort room to cm

100 cm = 1 meter

2 x 100 = 200

number of tiles needed = (200 x 200) / (30 x 30) = 44.4

50 tiles are more than enough to tile the room

What to do if quadratic equation has a negative spuare root?
alex41 [277]

If the negative square root is found to be one of your solutions, then that is indicative of a pair of imaginary roots (the imaginary i). According to the conjugate rule, if you have one solution that is imaginary, you will have another but with the opposite sign. For example, if a solution to a quadratic is found to be 2 - i, then its conjugate, 2 + i is also a solution. They will ALWAYS go in pairs. Same thing with radical solutions. If one solution is found to be 3+\sqrt{5}

then 3-\sqrt{5} will also be a solution.

In ΔABC shown below, point A is at (0, 0), point B is at (x2, 0), point C is at (x1, y1), point D is at x sub 1 over 2, y sub 1
LenaWriter [7]
There is two ways to attempt this problem. The first is that you could prove that angle CDE is congruent to angle DAB (of which I'm not totally sure is possible) or option two. Your second choice is to prove that Line segment DE is a flat line because line segment AB is also a flat line.
