A local pizza restaurant delivery time has a uniform distribution over 0 to 60 minutes. What is the probability that the pizza d
Likurg_2 [28]

Answer:

X \sim Unif (a= 0, b=60)

And we want to find the following probability:

P(X>30)

And for this case we can use the cumulative distribution given by:

F(x) =\frac{x-a}{b-a}, a \leq x \leq b

And for this case if we use this formula and the complement rule we have:

P(X>30)= 1-P(X

Step-by-step explanation:

Let X the random variable who represent the pizza delivery time and we know that the distribution for x is given by:

X \sim Unif (a= 0, b=60)

And we want to find the following probability:

P(X>30)

And for this case we can use the cumulative distribution given by:

F(x) =\frac{x-a}{b-a}, a \leq x \leq b

And for this case if we use this formula and the complement rule we have:

P(X>30)= 1-P(X

You are selling tickets to your school fair to raise money for the honor society. Student tickets cost $4 and adult tickets cost
inysia [295]

If 480 tickets cost $2580, 1 student ticket is $4, 1 adult is $6. Lets try dividing. 2580/6 and 2580/4. 2580/6=$430 and 2580/4=$645 again. 4 dollars per student and 6 dollars per adult. for the students, I would say approx. of 215 student tickets sold. And for the adults 215 dollars as well. to know this, I looked up multiples of them both. and 215 was the common one. So 215 adult tickets were sold and 215 student tickets were sold
