Answer:

British philosopher George Berkeley believed in immaterialism, which rejects the existence of physical matter and considers that material objects are only ideas of those who perceive them. In the quotation, he believes that it is impossible to know whether there are things outside the mind. In that matter, he maintains that there exists the same evidence now for thinking that there are things outside the mind, and that same evidence would also exist if there were no things outside the mind.

Identify why socialism was gaining ground as a movement and explain why people would be drawn to its ideas in light of the event
bixtya [17]
Socialism evokes the idea “everyone is equal” and “everyone has equal pay.” Leading to this appeal for lower class families who don’t have much money and want to be more equal to the wealthier class, they see this as socialism making everything equal pay, this can fix many issues they had previously with money, they no longer have to work a extra shift to produce this money, they can sit back and receive just as much as any class. During the industrial revolution new technology and companies expanded leading to more wealth and varying jobs and different length of wealth, promoting that “how come I don’t get payed as much as much as that other person” with new open jobs during the industrial revolution, comes new comparison of wealth that people thing they can fix with socialism.
