Just as the rumble begins, Dally shows up. Able to fight with only one arm, he announces that a rumble can't happen without him. The Socs lose the rumblebecause they run first. Everyone in Pony's gang is banged up, but the greasers win and that is all that matters.

write a compound sentence for katelyn loves to bake cakes she would bake if she had the time. how to write this
soldi70 [24.7K]

Answer:

Explanation:

A compound sentence is one that makes 2 simple sentences into 1.

Sentence 1: Katelyn loves to bake cakes.

Sentence 2: She would bake if she had the time.

The easiest way to make this into a compound sentence is to use but or and between them. These two words (but and and) are coordinating conjunctions.  But requires a comma.

Katelyn loves to bake cakes, but  she would bake (more) if she had the time.

Another way is to use a semicolon

Katelyn loves to bake cakes;   she would bake (more) if she had the time.
