Answer:

To use as fuel for fires.

Explanation:

In the plains of the mid-west, trees were scarce, let-alone proper tinder. However, buffalo were abundant in the mid-west and their dung could be burned. Thus, the chips were collected as fire fuel.

How were the elections different in 1800 than they are today?
pantera1 [17]
Well the only constitutional change that resulted from the election of 1800 was the twelfth amendment requiring separate electoral votes for president and vice president. First election where both parties ran candidates and actually campaigned. There was a tie between Thomas Jefferson and Aaron Burr. Because of the election of 1800, the 12th Amendment was passed, making the ElectoralCollege simpler.

klasskru [66]
Hey there!

At the Wannsee conference in 1942 the Nazis made plans to find a final solution to the "Jew problem". In their opinion, there were too many jews in their empire and they were looking for a way of getting rid of them (It sounds - and is - cruel, but unfortunately that's the truth). They found their 'solution' in the form of concentration and death camps.

The rules discussed were a follow-up of the Neurenberger laws (1935) which had as a purpose to isolate the Jews.

Could world leaders have prevented World War II from<br> happening Support you answer fully.
almond37 [142]

Answer:

Yes, they could have but it would have been very difficult.

Explanation:

The reason is that the attitudes of the leaders of Nazi Germany and Imperial Japan (Hitler, and Hirohito, respectively) were very pro-war. Both leaders were pursuing an aggressive expansionary policy, whcih means that they wanted to conquer a lot of new land in order to be colonized by German or Japanese people respectively.

However, some of the policies of the British, French, and American government could have been different. For example, the could have been harder on Hitler at first, when he was pursuing the annexation of Austria, and Czechia.

Question 1: Napoleon Bonaparte claimed to have put into practice the ideals of the French Revolution and the Enlightenment. Do y
Alisiya [41]

Answer:

Question 1: Actually, he did not.  If he did export and spread the ideals of the Revolution, why did he appoint his brothers and other people to high points in government?  Apart from that, they held the position of kings and monarchs which is opposite to the ideals of the Revolution.  It should be that the people have the right to decide for themselves but they didn’t.  Instead, they lived in fear and rebelled against him.

Question 2: Both revolutions started rather moderately, with people demanding more representation in government. Neither gained the full support of everyone in the respective nations either, as evidenced by Loyalists in the US and counterrevolutions in areas like the Vendee in France. In France, the revolution became more radical and ideological, taking Enlightenment ideals and rationalism to the extreme. The revolution in France also led to the dictatorship of Napoleon and the restoration is Bourbon monarchs, so ultimately a return to the status quo, while the American Revolution was successful in gaining American independence. Furthermore, the French Revolution was fought in France while the American Revolution was fought in the colonies of England and never sought to completely depose George III, just remove his control of the colonies.
