The answer is A, sun.
I say this because heat from the sun evaporates water the same way humidity is created-- so the water that was evaporated by the sun gets brought up into the clouds and creates precipitation.
Hope this helps :)

Evaporation is the process by which water changes from a liquid to a gas or vapor. Evaporation is the primary pathway that water moves from the liquid state back into the water cycle as atmospheric water vapor. Studies have shown that the oceans, seas, lakes, and rivers provide nearly 90 percent of the moisture in the atmosphere via evaporation, with the remaining 10 percent being contributed by plant transpiration.

A very small amount of water vapor enters the atmosphere through sublimation, the process by which water changes from a solid (ice or snow) to a gas, bypassing the liquid phase. This often happens in the Rocky Mountains as dry and warm Chinook winds blow in from the Pacific in late winter and early spring. When a Chinook takes effect local temperatures rise dramatically in a matter of hours. When the dry air hits the snow, it changes the snow directly into water vapor, bypassing the liquid phase. Sublimation is a common way for snow to disappear quickly in arid climates

How does prokaryotic cell division differ from eukaryotic cell division?
dedylja [7]
Cell division is simpler in prokaryotes than eukaryotes because prokaryotic cells themselves are simpler. Prokaryotic cells have a single circular chromosome, no nucleus, and few other organelles. Eukaryotic cells, in contrast, have multiple chromosomes contained within a nucleus, and many other organelles.

Diagnose: Mrs. Harris is a 60 year old white woman. She has noticed in recent years that her height has slightly decreased. Rece
Brut [27]

Answer:

Q: Which skeletal system disorder might she be suffering from?

A: Osteoporosis

Q: What techniques could be used to diagnose her condition?

A: Bone mineral density (BMD) test or dual energy X-ray absorptiometry (DXA) scan

Q: What treatments are available?

A: Medication, healthy food.

Explanation:

The vertebral discs between vertebrae could shrink with age. Therefore, a height loss up to 1-inch is normal. However, if the height loss is more then it is possibly due to osteoporosis.

A bone mineral density test, also known as dual energy X-ray absorptiometry scan, is a well-adapted test to measure the amount of calcium and other minerals in the bones. It uses X-rays to measure the content of calcium and thus strength of bones.

A person who is already suffering from osteoporosis should be treated with medicine right away so that it stops further deterioration of the bones and avoid any future bone fractures. Further, it can be handled by eating a healthy diet and supplements such as vitamins D. In case some of the bones/vertebrae are already fractured, surgical approaches might be necessary.
