We have the equation:

4x - 3 = 2x + 5

Let's to change "-3" to the right side of equation, but changing the sinal

4x = 2x + 5 + 3

4x = 2x + 8

Now, we let's to change "2x" to the left side of equation. But, we also will go to change the sinal

4x - 2x = 8

2x = 8

We pass "2" dividing by the 8

x = 8 ÷ 2

x = 4

Tha answer to this questions is ,

X = 4

I hope this has helped.

The daily demand for ice cream cones at a price of $1.20 per cone is 50 cones. At a price of $2.20 per cone, the demand is 30 co
Lapatulllka [165]

Answer:

<h2>The demand at a price of $1.50 per cone is 44 cones</h2>

Step-by-step explanation:

 let us apply the interpolation formula to solve this problem

we have

\frac{y-y1}{x-x1} =\frac{y2-y1}{x2-x1}

Now let us set the values to the notation above

x= $1.20

x1= $2.20

x2= $1.50

y = 50 cones

y1= 30 cones

y2= ?

y2= \frac{(y-y1)}{(x-x1)} (x2-x1)+y1

Substituting our given data we have

y2= \frac{(50-30)}{(1.2-2.2)} (1.5-2.2)+30\\\\y2=  \frac{20}{-1} (-0.7)+30\\\\y2=   (20*0.7)+30\\y2= 14+30\\y2= 44

the demand at a price of $1.50 per cone is 44 cones

What is the solution to the inequality x2 &lt; 16 – 6x?
zaharov [31]

Answer:

D

Step-by-step explanation:

2x < 16 - 6x

Bring the variables to one side

2x < 16 - 6x

+6x       +6x

8x < 16

Divide both sides by the coefficient

8x/8 < 16?8

x < 2

Solve by factoring.<br><br> m^2+6m+5=0
alina1380 [7]

Answer:

<u>-1 and -5</u>

Step-by-step explanation:

m^2 + 6m + 5 = 0 is factored to: (m + 1)(m + 5) = 0.

The zero product property states that one of the represented parenthesis must equal zero to satisfy the right side of the equation.

(m + 1) = 0

(-1 + 1) = 0

This means that one of the values for m is -1.

(m + 5) = 0

(-5 + 5) = 0

This means that one of the values for m is -5.

<u>Moreover, the value of m by factoring is -1 and -5</u>
