Now the fraction is your slope, it determines where your point goes, in this equation you would move up 6 times and move left once because your slope is -1/6. Now your numerator is the one that moves right if it's positive or left if if's negative. Your denominator is the one that moves up if it's positive and down if it's negative. So you're either going up 6 times and moving left once and if you're plotting two points then you move down 6 times and right once, it's basically the reverse. Now the number on the very right is your y-intercept it's always on the y-axis and that's how you start your line. from there you use the slope and plot the two other points and then you connect the points.
