<span>To answer this question we need to know that because x will always be negative, it is the same as saying lim as x approaches infinity of 1/(1.001)^x. That is why we can say that the denominator will get bigger and bigger, making the fraction and therefore the limit closer and closer to 0. </span>

A ball is shot upward from a slingshot at a velocity of 15 m/s the height of the ball after t seconds is given by h(t)=10+ 5t+1/
otez555 [7]

Answer:

The instantaneous velocity after eight seconds is 9 m/s

Step-by-step explanation:

Given as :

The ball shot upward with velocity of 15 m/s

The height of the ball after t sec is given as h(t) = 10 + 5t + \frac{1}{4}t^{2}

Now, The instantaneous velocity after 8 sec = \frac{\partial h(t)}{\partial t}

Or, The instantaneous velocity = \frac{\partial (10 +5t + \frac{1}{4}t^{2})}{\partial t}

or, The instantaneous velocity = 5 + \frac{1}{4}\times 2 t

Now at t = 8 sec

The instantaneous velocity = 5 + 4 = 9 m/s

Hence The instantaneous velocity of ball at t = 8 sec , is 9 m/s  Answer

Find the area of a trapezium whose parallel sides are 28.7 cm and 22.3 cm and distance between parallel sides is 16 cm.
puteri [66]

Given:

The parallel sides of a trapezium are 28.7 cm and 22.3 cm.

The distance between parallel sides is 16 cm.

To find:

The area of a trapezium.

Solution:

The area of the trapezium is:

A=\dfrac{a+b}{2}h

Where, a,b are parallel sides and h is the vertical distance between the parallel sides.

Putting a=28.7, b=22.3,h=16 in the above formula, we get

A=\dfrac{28.7+22.3}{2}\times(16)

A=\dfrac{51}{2}\times 16

A=51\times 8

A=408

Therefore, the area of the trapezium is 408 square cm.
