Imagine you are asked to set up a network for connecting 50 computers in an office environment. Discuss the type of network you will set up and the hardware and software requirements for the network. Justify your choice.

Because of the fact that yous should set up a network for interconnecting computers within a limited area (office environment) means that you should set up Local Area Network (LAN). 
The two most important hardware parts you will need are: 
switches , that will connect 50 PCs on the same network and router which will connect your networked computers to the Internet.

I will set up a local area network(LAN) Where i prefer a star topology where all computers are connected to the central switch or hub. This is being the reason that computers can connect easily without affecting the rest of the network. i will require the 50 computers which are fully equipped with gigabit ethernet ports.then three gigabit switches that accommodate all the ethernet cables to connect from the computer to the switch.Then i will also require the ethernet cable e.g CAT 6 and the rj 45s and cable ties.A power supply will also be needed and a network software.
