Answer:

y=5-\frac{2}{3}(x-9)

Step-by-step explanation:

We are given that the line passes through the two points (9, 5) and (6, 7).

And we want to find the equation of the line in point-slope form:

y=y_0=m(x-x_0)

First, let's find the slope. The slope is given by the formula:

m=\frac{y_2-y_1}{x_2-x_1}

Let's let (9, 5) be (x₁, y₁) and let (6, 7) be (x₂, y₂). Substitute these values into the slope formula:

m=\frac{7-5}{6-9}

Subtract:

m=2/-3

Simplify:

m=-2/3

So, our slope is -2/3.

Note, we can use the point-slope form. Notice that we also need an (x₀, y₀).

We can use either of our two known points. So, let's let (9, 5) be (x₀, y₀).

Substitute 9 for x₀, 5 for y₀, and -2/3 for m yields:

y=5-\frac{2}{3}(x-9)

And we're done!

Answer:

y = 5 -2/3 ( x-9)

Step-by-step explanation:

point slope form

y = y0 + m(x - x0).

m is the slope

m = (y2-y1)/(x2-x1)

     ( 7-5)/(6-9)

   2/-3

 =-2/3

The slope is -2/3

Using the point (9,5)

y = 5 -2/3 ( x-9)

Setler [38]
For zeroes/roots r1,r2, r3
the facors of the polynomial is
(x-r1)(x-r2)(x-r3)

roots
-3,2,5
(x-(-3))(x-2)(x-5)
(x+3)(x-2)(x-5)
the coefient of the x term is -4
so mutliply the whole thing by 2

(2)(x+3)(x-2)(x-5)

expand
f(x)=2x^3-8x^2-22x+60

Find the product (4x-3) (3x+8)
m_a_m_a [10]

Hi there!

Assuming "Find the product" means multiplying (4x-3) by (3x+8) and factor to it's simplest form the answer would be:

12x²+23x-24

The way you solve this is by using the distributive property of multiplication as shown below:

Start by multiplying -3 from (4x-3) by everything in (3x+8)

3x*(-3) = -9x

8*(-3) = -24

Once you've done that you then multiply everything 4x

4x*8 = 32x

4x*3x = 12x²

(Note: when multiplying two of the same variables like x it means you are multiplying x by itself which is the same as x²)

When you put all of this together it looks like this

12x²+32x-9x-24

from there we combine like terms

32x-9x = 23x

to get

12x²+23x-24

I hope this helps!

God bless,
