What affect did the revolutionary war have on native americans
agasfer [191]

Hello!

For NATIVE AMERICANS the end of the revolutionary war was a disaster. First, some tribes which managed to form a political alliance (called Iroquois Confederacy) to support the British side started fighting against one another once the war had finished. Second, these tribes that supported the British side lost everything they had since Patriotic campaigns destroyed their towns during the war period. Third, during the treaty negotiations, natives were not represented, so in the diplomatic arragements, they were batterred and finally, the last effect is that they lost vast territories of land.

Civil court cases are most often settled outside of court. Why do you think this happens? Think of what makes up a majority of c
Fed [463]

A majority of cases are settled outside of court because of a simple cost benefit analysis.

In a civil trial, a wrong party is working to have that wrong righted through action or financial means.

But lawyers cost money and jury trials take time. So, if you can get enough to be "made whole" without the cost of paying a lawyer for a jury trial, you are better off.

The downside to this is that the scales are tipped against poor people who are even less able to pay for attorneys.
