I don’t get it. <br> Use the net to find the lateral area of the prism.
sesenic [268]

the net is pretty much the net of a long box, kinda like the one in the example in the picture below.  Due to that, we can pretty much assume the two sides sticking up and down, are just two small 6x3 rectangles, namely, they have a height of 3, reason why we assume that, if that if we fold the other sides to make out the box, those two sides sticking out, must be 3m to neatly snugfit.

now, if we close the box as it stands, the sides(laterals) will be on the left-right sides two 3x15 rectangles, and on the front-back sides, two 6x15 rectangles.

we're excluding the top and bottom sides, because those are not "laterals", or sides of the box.

\bf \stackrel{\textit{two rectangles, left and right}}{2(3\cdot 15)}+\stackrel{\textit{two rectangles, front and back}}{2(6\cdot 15)}&#10;\\\\\\&#10;90+180\implies 270

We are given a line of thought trying to prove different entities proven to be congruent by different argument or proof. Evenutally, the two are associated using a property called transitivity. This property is used to associate A and C when A is equal to B and B is equal to C

You borrowed $11,250 from the bank to buy a used car. You will pay the bank back in 5 years with 3.45% interest compounded annua
mihalych1998 [28]

Answer:

(D)$2079.23

Step-by-step explanation:

If I borrowed $11,250 from the bank to buy a used car. You will pay the bank back in 5 years with 3.45% interest compounded annually, then:

Principal=$11,250

Time=5 years

Rate=3.45%

Since it is compounded annually, our compound interest will be derived using this formula:

Interest=Amount at the end of 5 years - Principal

where:

Amount, A=P(1+r)^n

=11250(1+0.0345)^5\\=11250(1.0345)^5\\=13329.23

Therefore our Interest=13329.23-11250 =$2079.23

Why does b have to be positive in exponential functions and why can’t it be 1?
faust18 [17]

Answer:

Well, "b" is just a variable. It's not really the function. I'm not quite sure what your asking. It can't be 1 because it can't. Math was founded on these mathematical laws. Consider talking to your teacher about this for further explanation.
