Since Saturday a lot has changed for me," writes Anne, and what has changed, she notes, is Peter. He is looking at her in a new way, "to my great joy." This is a pleasant surprise as she had once believed Peter was in love with Margot. They begin to seek each other out and confide in each other. Peter tells her how he has difficulty expressing himself verbally and used to beat people up when he was angry, rather than arguing. Peter tells her that he will hide his Jewish ancestry when the war is over; his "tinge of honesty" disappoints Anne. She feels that he is insecure and needs affection.

Alexander III of Macedon, or as more commonly referred to, Alexander the Great, was a leader that had its nice and bad characteristics.

Good characteristics can be:

- Great leader;

He hold tightly the Macedonians and Paionians, gave them a strong identity, and made them feel as the greatest people in the world.

- Excellent military tactician;

Managed to overcome much larger armies multiple types on totally unfamiliar terrain. Also, he never allowed a Greek to be a general in his army, which was probably his wisest move, as the Greeks hated the Macedonians.

- Making steps into the globalization process;

He wanted and tried to merge people from different cultures, religions, ethnicity, races, into one, and to work together and tolerate each other.

Bad characteristics can be:

- Alienation;

He was very often alienated, as he was putting himself in the realm of half god, half human.

- Holding to his own desires without taking in consideration what's best for the others;

His army was suffering by the end of his campaign, was exhausted, and wanted to return to Macedonia to their families, but he just didn't cared about it.

- Making a genocide;

The Macedonians and the Greeks hated each other for centuries, and the Greeks could not stand the fact that they are occupied by their hated neighbors, so they were rebelling constantly, and also escaped from the battle-scene at Gaugamela, and that made Alexander very angry, so he set his armies on the Greek city-states and killed over 20,000 of them.
