Using the Doppler effect, astronomers can determine a star’s _____. age and spectrum elements and chemical composition movement
Ede4ka [16]

The answer is; movement toward or away from Earth

Stars that move closer to the observer will be percieved as blue in the electromagnetic spectrum while starts moving away from the observer will appear red and orange. This is what is called the Doppler shift effect. This phenomenon is similar to the higher pitch of the siren of an ambulance approaching you and the low pitch of the siren when the ambulance passes you and is moving away from you.

Based on what you know about the location of the earth in relation to the sun, why is this called the Goldilocks zone in other g
erik [133]

Answer: C. It's an area that's an optimal distance from the sun for potentially supporting life.

The Goldilocks zone, also called Habitable Zone, refers to the region in the space where a planet is located at a distance from its star, which is ideal for living conditions.

For this to be possible, the incident luminosity and the radiation flow on the surface of the planet must be sufficient to maintain the adequate temperature so that water can exist in liquid form (a fundamental requirement for life).

In fact, it is stated that the Earth is in the habitable zone of the solar system and that is why it is capable of housing life.
