4 0

If the discriminant is 0, then you'll have exactly one root. This is a double root since the root repeats itself.

Example: y = (x-5)^2 = x^2-10x+25 has a double root at x = 5

What are rational numbers
Sophie [7]
A rational number is a number that can be written as a fraction or "ratio".
It includes the set of integers because all of them have a denominator of 1.  A rational number can take on the form of \frac{a}{b} where b ≠ 0.  Terminating and repeating decimals are rational numbers because they too can be written as a ratio; for example, 0.3 = \frac{3}{10} or 0.3333... = \frac{1}{3}.
