Answer:

The statement that best describes the structure of this argument is The writer first appeals to the reader's emotions and then to his or her authority.

Explanation:

The author appeals to the reader's emotions as he portrays an image that can connect to the sympathy of everyone by thinking about being in danger in order to do an activity that is necessary to provide all the required thing to themselves and their loved ones, and then the author puts themself in the position of having lived that which gives them authority in the topic.

Why car is a greatest invention than telephone?
baherus [9]

Answer:

See explanation for answer.

Explanation:

I personally beleive that the invention of the car is greater than the invention of the telephone because of the oppurtunities cars give us today. While both cars and telephones have evolved so much over the past several years cars give people the oppurtunity to commute faster to plces, and visit people and places. Whereas a phone may help you keep in contact electronically but can not get you anywhere physically. Then again as far as which invention is more beneficial overall I would say the telephone because it doesn't contribute to global warming like car gasoline does and has revolutionized the ways people keep in contact with each other. Anyways, I hope this helps!

This is an excerpt from Jackie Robinson's letter to President Eisenhower. What literary techniques does Robinson employ to creat
barxatty [35]
If this is the excerpt:

My dear Mr. President:

I was sitting in the audience at the Summit Meeting of Negro Leaders yesterday when you said we must have patience. On hearing you say this, I felt like standing up and saying, "Oh no! Not again."

I respectfully remind you sir, that we have been the most patient of all people. When you said we must have self-respect, I wondered how we could have self-respect and remain patient considering the treatment accorded us through the years.

17 million Negroes cannot do as you suggest and wait for the hearts of men to change. We want to enjoy now the rights that we feel we are entitled to as Americans. This we cannot do unless we pursue aggressively goals which all other Americans achieved over 150 years ago.
The literary techniques I recognize are the following:
1) amplification - adding more words to a simple sentence to make it more valuable and understandable.
2) hyperbole - exaggeration
3) dramatic visualization
4) Imagery
5) Pathos - use for emotional appeal.
