Answer:

A. Temple platform.

Explanation:

Ziggurat at Ur was multilevel place of worship, it had steps all around it. Such buildings were located at the centre of Mesopotamian cities after 200 BC. They were extraordinary structures made of sun-dried mud bricks.

Although they looked sturdy but the sun baked bricks made them delicate, they had to be rebuilt after every hundred years. The rains softened the bricks and the lower section often gave way due to soft bricks.

Their design was such that they could easily drain water. It also had layers of bitumen, grass-like plants. A waterproof tar was also laid between the mud bricks to protect it from water.

How did the end of the Cold War most clearly affect the military-industrial
complex?
mars1129 [50]

Answer:

After the end of the Cold War, the US military-industrial complex was only temporarily affected by a reduction in defense spending, following arms disarmament treaties and given the weakening of the Soviet threat. In 2000, a decade after the end of the Cold War, the GDP percentage of defense spending was only 3.7%, a historic low. Nevertheless, US military expenditures have been growing in the last decades. They started to grow again after the 9/11 attacks in 2001. The federal defense budget for 2019 is $716 billion.
