Ponyboy only hangs out with Dally because he is so close to Johnny. Johnny idolizes Dally, and Dally treats him like his little brother. Dally also has a record which he is very proud of (>w< lol) Pony knew he treated wahmin (women) badly and didn't care about anyone but himself. I could keep going but I hope this could be enough.

How do I exactly introduce my topic and my curiousity about it? (the topic i'm doing is on how rona had a bad impact on ppl's me
jasenka [17]

I think you should start it out like this:

The (virus) has shifted the way the world works. It has caused cities to go on lockdown, shops and stores to close, and many other issues.

Then add:

It also raises a question, does this virus have a negative impact on people's mental health?

or

With research, I have come to the conclusion that (virus) is damaging the mental health of people worldwide.

You can approach it by saying the question and then answering it, or you can say your claim and provide evidence and reasoning.

Hope this helped!

Extended similes such as, "Your body is like a machine: you take fuel in, you produce heat and do work and you produce waste pro
Inessa [10]

Answer:

explanatory

Explanation:

It is explanatory because the extension in the simile gives the audience with a more descriptive image of the thing that is being described.

Similes provides an image to the reader by <em>comparing </em>using the words "<em>like" </em>or <em>"as"</em>. When the simile is then extended, the initial image is given more meaning creating an explanatory effect on the audience.
