Harriet Ross was born in Dorchester County, Maryland.

 Harriet Tubman's first name was Araminta Ross. 

Her father's name was Benjamin Ross.

1. In 1844 she married a free African American  man by the name of John Tubman.

3. Harriet Tubman became a soldier, spy and a nurse.

4. She was a public speaker and a story teller, 

5.  She died March 10, 1913 suffering from pneumonia 

6.  After freeing herself from enslavement, she went back to Maryland to rescue other members of her family.
