Convert 6.42 kilograms to grams.<br><br> 0.00642 g<br> 64.2 g<br> 642 g<br> 6,420 g
Katarina [22]
1 kilogram (kg) equals to 1000 grams (g). Since you have 6.42 kilograms, divide 6.42 kilograms to 1000 grams. Your final answer is 6420 grams in total.

Whilst shopping, the probability that Caroline buys fruit is 0.4. The probability that Caroline independently buys a CD is 0.2.
AleksandrR [38]

Answer:

probability that Caroline buy both CD and  fruit = 0.52

Step-by-step explanation:

We have given that the probability of Caroline buys a fruit P = 0.4

So probability of Caroline does not buy the fruit = 1 - 0.4 = 0.6

Probability Caroline buys a CD P = 0.2

So probability of Caroline does not buy the CD = 1 - 0.2 = 0.8

So probability that Caroline does not buy either buy CD or fruit = 0.8×0.6=0.48

So probability that Caroline buy both CD and  fruit =1-0.48 = 0.52

The sixth grade class sold sweatshirts with their school logo to raise money for a field trip they bought 220 sweatshirts for $8
IRINA_888 [86]
They made a profit of $1,430. Simple math. Multiply 8*220 to see how much they spent. Then multiply 14.50*220 to see how much they received from all the sweatshirts. Lastly, subtract how much they spend versus how much the made.<span />

Does anyone know how to solve |4x+3|-9&lt;5
elixir [45]

Answer in fraction form:   -17/4 < x < 11/4

Answer in decimal form:   -4.25 < x < 2.75

=======================================================

Work Shown:

|4x+3| - 9 < 5

|4x+3| < 5+9 .... adding 9 to both sides

|4x+3| < 14

-14 < 4x+3 <  14 .... see note at the bottom

-14-3 < 4x < 14-3 .... subtracting 3 from all sides

-17 < 4x < 11

-17/4 < x < 11/4 .... divide all sides by 4

-4.25 < x < 2.75

This says that x is between -4.25 and 2.75, but x is not equal to either endpoint.

Note: I used the rule that |x| < k becomes -k < x < k where k is a positive real number.
