The correct answer is: right atrium

The fossa ovalis is a depression in the right atrium of the heart. The fossa ovalis is a structure that retained from the fetal development. It is thin fibrous sheet that used to cover the foramen ovale. During the fetal development this structure was important for the blood transport from the right atrium to the left atrium, because of the nonfunctional fetal lungs . It closes immediately after the birth.

Water (H2O), carbon dioxide (CO2), organic compounds, heat, and oxygen (O2) are all involved in aerobic respiration. Which of th
nekit [7.7K]

Answer:

The correct relationship of is

Organic compound + O2  → CO2+H2O+Heat

Option B is correct one.

Explanation:

Aerobic Respiration happens in the mitochondria. Organic material glucose with the present of oxygen produced carbon di oxide,water and heat.

The chemical reaction is C ₆H ₁₂ O ₆ + 6 O ₂ --> 6 CO 2 + 6 H ₂ O +Heat+ ATP

The step involved in aerobic respiration are

Glycolysis.(Opens in a new window)(Opens in a new window) In glycolysis, glucose—a six-carbon sugar—undergoes a series of chemical transformations. In the end, it gets converted into two molecules of pyruvate, a three-carbon organic molecule. In these reactions, ATP is made, and NAD⁺ is converted in NADH.

Pyruvate oxidation. Each pyruvate from glycolysis goes into the mitochondrial matrix—the innermost compartment of mitochondria. There, it’s converted into a two-carbon molecule bound to Coenzyme A, known as acetyl CoA. Carbon dioxide is released and NADH is generated.

Citric acid cycle. The acetyl CoA made in the last step combines with a four-carbon molecule and goes through a cycle of reactions, ultimately regenerating the four-carbon starting molecule.ATP,NADH and FADH₂ are produced, and carbon dioxide is released.

Oxidative phosphorylation. The NADH and FAH₂made in other steps deposit their electrons in the electron transport chain, turning back into their "empty" forms .As electrons move down the chain, energy is released and used to pump protons out of the matrix, forming a gradient. Protons flow back into the matrix through an enzyme called ATP synthase, making ATP. At the end of the electron transport chain, oxygen accepts electrons and takes up protons to form water.

Jellyfish should reproduce sexually if genetic variation is needed in order to survive in the change in environment.

Jellyfish should reproduce sexually if genetic variation is needed by the organism leading to more adaptations to the natural environment. There is no variation between offspring in asexual reproduction.

It involves single parent not two parents so their chances of survival against change of environment while on the other hand, offspring produced from sexual reproduction having variations that leads to higher chance of survival.
