Does cooking food destroy its potential vitamin levels? research
tester [92]
Hello friends..

Some (not all) of the nutritional value in vegetables is lost during the cooking process – but why? Vegetables are packed FULL of vitamins, which are essential for our overall diet and the chemical reactions within our bodies.
Vitamins are split up into two different groups: water-soluble (B-complexes, and C) and fat-soluble (A, D, E, and K). During the cooking process, water-soluble vitamins are more likely to be destroyed.

The water level at the beach changes during the day. What causes the different water levels?
dexar [7]

Answer:

C. The moon's gravitational pull and Earth's rotation

Explanation:

The moon's gravitational pull generates something called the tidal force. The tidal force causes Earth—and its water—to bulge out on the side closest to the moon and the side farthest from the moon. These bulges of water are high tides.

Hope this helped

In 2016, Sub-Saharan Africa had a doubling time of 23.3 years.
Masja [62]

The correct answer is Option B: 3%.

In 2016, Sub-Saharan Africa, doubling time is 23.3 years, thus Growth rate is 3%.

What is doubling time?

 • The doubling time is the time taken by a population to double in its size.
 • This concept is applied to population growth, inflation, resource extraction, consumption of goods, the volume of malignant tumors, and many other things that tend to grow over time.
 • There is an important relationship between the percent growth rate and its doubling time known as “the rule of 70”: to estimate the doubling time for a steadily growing quantity, simply divide the number 70 by the percentage growth rate.
 • Therefore, Growth rate is 70 divided by doubling time (70/ doubling time).
 • Here, Doubling time= 23.3 years.
 • Growth rate= 70/23.3= 3%

9. What is the relationship among enzymes, energy,
and reaction rates?
kolbaska11 [484]

Answer:

Enzymes are biological catalysts. Catalysts lower the activation energy for reactions. The lower the activation energy for a reaction, the faster the rate. Thus enzymes speed up reactions by lowering activation energy.
