There are 8 students in each van and 22 students in each bus.

Step-by-step explanation:

Let,

x be the number of students in each van

y be the number of students in each bus

According to given statement;

8x+8y=240     Eqn 1

4x+y=54          Eqn 2

Multiplying Eqn 2 by 2

2(4x+y=54)\\8x+2y=108\ \ \ Eqn\ 3\\

Subtracting Eqn 3 from Eqn 1

(8x+8y)-(8x+2y)=240-108\\8x+8y-8x-2y=132\\6y=132

Dividing both sides by 6

\frac{6y}{6}=\frac{132}{6}\\y=22

Putting y=22 in Eqn 2

4x+22=54\\4x=54-22\\4x=32\\

Dividing both sides by 4

\frac{4x}{4}=\frac{32}{4}\\x=8

There are 8 students in each van and 22 students in each bus.

give that a load of mass 20kg is acted upon by a force of 60N calculate the acceleration of the load
GalinKa [24]

Answer:

3m/s^2

Step-by-step explanation:

the information that we have is:

mass: m=20kg

force applied: F=60N

since we need to find the acceleration, we can use Newton's second law of motion:

F=ma

Where F is the force applied to a mass m which creates an acceleration a.

we solve this equation for the acceleration:

a=\frac{F}{m}

and we substitute the known values:

a=\frac{60N}{20kg} \\\\a=3m/s^2

the acceleration of the load is: 3m/s^2

7xy + 3yx -2xy<br> Combing like terms
katovenus [111]
It is 5xy+3yx
You add 7xy+(-2xy) and get 5xy and you can’t add 3yx because of the difference in variables so you keep it as 5xy+3yx
