Answer:

This speech reveals that Don Quixote is well-read and complacence man.

Explanation:

Don Quixote is a Spanish novel written by Miguel de Cervantes.  The novel is considered  to be the first modern novel. The novel revolves around the character of Alonso Quixano, who gets so engrossed in extensive reading that he losses his wits and decides to live like a chivalry-- knight-errant.

The given two quotations from the novel spoken by Don Quixote reveals that he is well-read when he expressed that <em>'hadst though read as many histories as I have.'</em> Here, Don Quixote is speaking to Sancho telling him about a balm about which he has read in the books of chivalry. This shows that he is a well-read man. The other quote also expressed the same quality of Don Quixote when he educate Sancho about the diet of chivalry, about which he must have read in the books of chivalry.<u><em> Boasting again and again of his well-read knowledge also reveals that Don Quixote is complacence man too, who boasts about his extensive well-read knowledge.</em></u>

In “We Wear the Mask,” how does the poet use irony to reject the romantic notion of idealism?
IrinaK [193]
The correct answer is the first one - by describing how people attempt to hide their pain by pretending to be happy.
The poet wants to show that people are constantly wearing masks to hide their real emotions. They pretend to be happy so that others wouldn't realize how they truly feel - they don't want to be that vulnerable and open up to others about their real emotions.
