because its a mysterious painting that caught everyones eye, and the contrast of colors is amazing. people still dont know if she is smiling or not in the picture or whats going through her mind what is she thinking at that moment. the painting is very known to the world the only painting that the whole world knows about, its great work of art of  Leonardo da Vinci.
