Marching band is a little more intense than concert. in marching band your outside and you are marching to a certain piece of music except they are called movements. in concert you are siting most of the time and concert in a lot more formal.

In marching you're typically outside on a football field or a road(parades) and in concert band you're usually in an auditorium. Concert band is mainly sitting and playing with a stand and music in front of you and marching band is more memorizing music, learning sets and drills, and there is also a lot more activity involved. In my band camp we get 2 hours of mandatory rest time and the rest of it is outside in the heat but at our band over-nighter, for concert band, we are inside the whole time and we are practicing our music 99% of the time. Hope this helped!
