Answer:

The British Empire controlled the colonies and they were considered an extension of the crown. The colonies had additional rights other that any other person had under the crown. Answer:

There are several reasons to this: economy, laws, politics.

A peaceful settlement wasn't possible because differences were critical. As colonies, they must pay 'high taxes' to the crown, and British Empire wasn't able to quit to that money, because colonies purposes, from the beginning, was to maintain crown's power and economy.

Also, colonies had laws that limited them in so may ways, they weren't as free as the people in Great Britain, but they paid high taxes to some government that never visited their lands.

How were JFK and MLK alike?
Vesnalui [34]

Answer:

They were tired and fed up, but most of all they did not want their children to grow up in such a hard and harsh generation. Unlike some civil rights leaders, Dr. King was adamantly against violence. I can truly appreciate and am envious of how King kept such dignity and composure throughout the entire civil rights movement. I am forever grateful for Dr. Martin Luther King and his
