One of biggest threats to biodiversity is the destruction of habitats like cutting down forests, mining, changing the course of the rivers... Without the habitat all of the organisms that make the ecosystem and are dependent on the resources of the habitat die.

Non-native species are organisms that are introduced to an ecosystem that where they are not naturally present. In these new environments, the introduced species can out compete the native species and cause disruption to the trophic structure and cause biodiversity loss.
