During the 1900's, the number of women employed in manufacturing increased the most. The correct option among all the options given in the question is option "D". Earlier the women found the atmosphere for working very hard and there was very little amount of payment for the labor they put in. after the 1900's, the working atmosphere as well as salary improved and this pulled more and more women towards the manufacturing sector.

But it was the introduction of Industrial revolution in the late 18th and early stages of 19th century changed the scope and nature of work all around Europe as well as other regions of the world. During the start of Industrial revolution, there was increase in number of women in western countries that took jobs in factories as they started working in textile mills as well as assembly lines of machinery.<u> Women also used to work as hawkers. During that period of time, there was inequality which was seen in regards to pay for women and men.</u> Government found that the average pay for women in the factory used to be 11s 3d to 18s 8d whereas men used to get 25s 9d and because of this difference in wages, the employers preferred to hire women more as compared to men.<u> If a women was pregnant than she had to work till the day she gave birth and had to join back as soon as she was physically fit. </u>
