Radar images might help to reduce damage from and approaching storm because it help people get ready for an oncoming storm before it causes very much damage. It can also help people get supplies needed to survive in an oncoming storm. If the oncoming storm is hurricane/ tornado like storm it help people and warn them to get to their safe spots for the oncoming storm.
