So if you aren't wanting to use a calculator I would first put it into fraction form instead of improper so you then have -7/2 x -5/3 then you want to make the denominators the same (2 and 3) so you find one common multiple which could be 6 so for -7/2 you ask yourself what times 2 equals 6...3 so you then multiply -7 x 3 = -21 and 2 x 3 = 6 so you have -21/6. Then you have to make the -5/3 have a denominator of 6 so you then ask yourself what times 3 equals 6...2 so you then multiply -5 x 2 = -10 and 3 x 2 = 6 so you have -10/6 so your new problem is -21/6 x -10/6. So then you just multiply across so first with the numerators -21 x -10 = -210 then the denominators 6 x 6 = 36 so then you have -210/36 then all you have to do is reduce and your answer is -35/6.
