Answer

Find out the how much did kerry pay in tax .

To proof

As given

Kerry bought a bag of dog food for $37.99.

If sales tax is 7.6%

7.6 % is written in the decimal form

= \frac{7.6}{100}

= 0.076

7.6 % of the $37.99 = 0.076 ×37.99

                               = 2.88724

                               = $2.89 ( approx)

Kerry pay in the sales tax be $2.89

Total cost of a bag of dog food = $37.99.

Let us assume cost of a bag of dog food excluding sales tax = $x.

Sales tax is 7.6 %.

Total cost of a bag of dog food including tax = x+ 7.6% of x.

x + 0.076x = 37.99

1.076x = 37.99.

Dividing both sides by 1.076, we get

1.076x/1.076 = 37.99/1.076.

x = 35.31.

Therefore, cost of a bag of dog food excluding sales tax = $35.31.

Sales tax = 7.6 % of  $35.31 = 0.076 × 35.31 = 2.68.

Therefore, she paid $2.68 in tax.

The inside wheels of a car traveling on a circular path are rotating half as fast as the outside wheels. The front two wheels ar
barxatty [35]

Answer:

  about 37.7 feet

Step-by-step explanation:

If the outside wheels are turning twice as fast, they go twice the distance in the same time. The distance they travel is proportional to the radius of the circle, so the outside circle must have twice the radius of the inside circle.

Adding 6 ft to the radius of the inside circle doubles the radius, so the inside circle's radius must be 6 feet. Then the circumference of the inside circle is ...

  C = 2πr = 2π(6 ft) = 12π ft ≈ 37.7 ft

olga nikolaevna [1]

Answer:

5.2

Step-by-step explanation:

To find the height of the plant after 7 weeks, we need to find out the equation of the line of best fit and plug in 7 for x. We already have our y - intercept, which is 1, and we have a point on the x axis for which the y coordinate is an integer, (5, 4). Since we already have the y - intercept of +1 we have y = mx + 1. Since this applies to (5,4) we can plug this in to our equation. This is then 4 = 5m + 1. Subtracting 1 from both sides, we get 3 = 5m. Dividing by 5, we receive m = 3/5. Since now we have our slope, we can plug in 7 and find out our answer. Plugging in 7 we receive, y = 3/5 * 7 + 1, which is equal to y = 4.2 + 1. This means that y = 5.2, so 5.2 is our answer.
