Tom Cruise would not be considered a reliable authority on the topic of psychiatric medication. Even if Tom Cruise has personally studied the subject, his knowledge would necessarily be quite superficial, as he is not a professional doctor or psychiatrist. Moreover, Tom Cruise's fame comes from his acting, and not from his medical knowledge. Therefore, your friend should not believe everything Tom Cruise says regarding this topic, and should instead try to find a different, more trustworthy source of information.
