Answer: Option (D). All of the above.

Explanation: Flappers was a term used to describe a generation of young Western women in the 1920s who wore short skirts (just at the knee was short for that time period), bobbed their hair, listened to jazz, and flaunted their disdain for what was then considered acceptable behavior. Flappers were seen as brash for wearing excessive makeup, drinking alcohol, smoking cigarettes in public, driving automobiles, treating sex in a casual manner, and otherwise flouting social and sexual norms.

Many young women wanted to spend their youth enjoying their life and freedom rather than just staying at home and waiting for a man to marry them. Furthermore, World War I reduced the grip of the class system on both sides of the Atlantic, encouraging different classes to mingle and share their sense of freedom. Also Women won the right to vote in the United States, Women wanted to be men's social equals and were faced with the difficult realization of the larger goals of feminism.

What were Catherine II of Russia's economic policies?
schepotkina [342]

As for general policy, Catherine understood that Russia needed an extended period of peace during which to concentrate on domestic affairs and that peace required a cautious foreign policy. The able Count Nikita Panin, whom she placed in charge of foreign affairs, was well chosen to carry out such a policy.

Catherine did not advocate democratic
reforms but addressed some of the modernization trends. In 1775, she decreed a Statute for the Administration of the Provinces of the Russian Empire. The statute sought to efficiently govern Russia by increasing population and dividing the country into provinces and districts.

Why was the Vietnam War such a different conflict that the United States had ever experienced up to this time in history?
guapka [62]
The Vietnam war was one of the first wars that the American public didn't support. Vietnam soldiers and veterans were demonized in their own country. This had a negative affect on our soldiers in Vietnam. Moral dropped, not that it was that high in the first place.

Vietnam was an awful experience for the soldiers in it. If a soldier entered a village, he could be attacked by anyone, even by a small child. And, in the jungles, there were mines and other types of lethal traps everywhere. Soldiers learned to walk in the footsteps of the guy in front of them so they didn't risk setting of a hidden explosive.
All of this contributed to an insane amount of PTSD.
