It is one of the earliest infant development test in which the newborn is held in ventral suspension with face down and the analyst strokes gently along side the spine and in the reaction of it, the baby laterally flexes towards the side of spine which has been stroked.
It is the earliest reflexes to check the brain function of the babies.
