The novel’s setting is Nigeria during the 1890s, when the British colonialists are beginning to impose their customs on the native tribes. Two major types of conflict are described in the novel: the conflict between the individual and society and the clash of cultures and the destruction of Okonkwo’s world with the arrival of the British missionaries. After you have performed your research, you will present your findings in a slideshow presentation. You may do this project individually or with a group.
