Answer:

The Black Death got its name for several reasons. Black is often referred to as a color of misery and pain. With all the death going around, that is probably just how the people felt. So many people died, a lot were just thrown into one massive grave along with others that had died around the same time.

Answer:

Explanation:

A: Today, it's best known as the Black Death or the bubonic plague. Medieval people called it "the blue sickness," La pest ("the Pestilence"), and "the Great Mortality." The name bubonic comes from the medieval Latin word bubo via Italian bilbo--meaning a pustule, growth, or swelling.

Which Of The Following Best Explains Why The North Supported High Tariffs On
foreign goods
-BARSIC- [3]
Here is an explanation of tariffs. Since I can't see the statements for this question, you can use the following information to help.

Tariffs are a tax on an imported goods. These tariffs cause the price of foreign goods to increase. Many businesses, especially in the North, like the idea of tariffs because it makes more likely that citizens will buy products made by them rather than buying products made in other countries. Ultimately, a tariff helps to protect American industry/businesses.

Reflect on why Rizal highlighted the Story of the Moth in the last chapter of his Memorias. What was the message intended by Riz
Citrus2011 [14]

Answer:

1. The intended message was intended to alert the dangers of the obsession. This is because when we become obsessed with something we tend to ignore everything around us and act in an unreasonable and very dangerous way, which can cause us a lot of harm.

2. The moral of the story applies in today's society because we are increasingly obsessed with aesthetics, celebrities, erroneous politics, extremism, among other things.

3. The light symbolizes the danger disguised as something beautiful and attractive, but which is fatal.

Explanation:

The story told by Rizal is about a moth that becomes obsessed and attracted by the lit light of a lamp. The moth's obsession is so strong that he gets closer and closer to the lamp, ignoring all the advice for her to stay away. This ends up burning her wings and causing death. The moral of the story is that we must not let our obsession control our rationality and we must always reason whether what attracts us is really good for us.

How does the 4-2-1 affect an only child of the One Child Policy?
Nesterboy [21]

Answer:

The 4-2-1 problem surrounding the one-child policy means that only children will have to bear the responsibility of supporting both of their parents and, sometimes, all four of their grandparents in their old age, as they cannot rely on siblings to help them care for their aging family.

Why are the crusades seines one of history most successful mistakes
ser-zykov [4K]
(got it from online) The aim of the crusades was to take over the so called Holy Lands. Much of the ambition was to just loot the place instead of saving it. Sometimes there was a success and the crusaders held it but it was never held for very long. They did hold Jerusalem for over 75 years at one time. But that is just a drop in the time line for the Mideast. Eventually, the Crusaders were kicked out. Last, we still feel the effects of this effort. Many of the Islamic nations still remember it as if it was yesterday and they are not fond of those memories. Hence a successful failure.
