Answer:  The blue sneakers were Queen Elsa's favorite; they

were also the most expensive item in the store.  or

The blue sneakers were Queen Elsa's favorite, but they

were also the most expensive item in the store.   or

The blue sneakers were Queen Elsa's favorite. They

were also the most expensive item in the store.

Explanation:

The error in the original sentence is called a "comma splice."  You have two independent clauses. As they are closely connected, you may use a semicolon between the clauses, or you may use a comma and a coordinating conjunction.

Most commonly, use a period and a capital letter to make two separate sentences.

In frankenstein what does the creature learn about himself and society around him?
Orlov [11]

Victor Frankenstein creates a creature (he is never given a name, and so therefore it is wrong to refer to him as "Frankenstein") who learns two ways about humankind. While the creature hides in the hovel attached to the home where the De Lacey family is living, he learns language.

Why is mr.mallards return an example of situational irony? Would the story still be ironic if he had actually been dead?
Firlakuza [10]
Situational irony is when an event doesn't turn out as expected. Throughout the story, the reader expects Mr. Mallard to be dead so when he opens the door at the end it is situational irony. The story could still be ironic if he had actually been dead if Mrs. Mallard died at the end. Just when she gets her freedom to live for herself, she dies of a heart attack is situational irony because her death is unexpected in the plot line.
