In the play "Trifles," Women were regarded as lower than man. In the play. It was evident that there was a gender divide between men and women during the Glasspell's time. Minnie Wright was a symbol used to describe the life of many women in the past. Most of them were not happy of the domesticity, some were able to get used to that kind of life.
