Answer:

At first Proctor decided to confess of seing Abaigail and other friends doing witchcfraft. He does that because his wife asked him to, in order to safe his own life. Later on he realizes things about the confessing process that he did not agreed on. He decided not to confess because he did not want to act upon some lie that would harm people he knows

Explanation:

He did not agree on a writting confession that everyone could read. He thought of his name being destroyed by signing and admitting something by writting. He wanted to show honor, and didn'tt want to leave his children to believe it was ok to harm other in order to save himself. So he died hanged but with honor.

horsena [70]

The correct answer is; jury.

Further Explanation:

Men who violated the Navigation Acts, after 1764, were not tried in a regular court. Instead they were tried in Admiralty courts. In these courts, violators were presumed to be guilty and did not have a jury to hear the case.

Prior to 1764, the people who violated these laws did get to have a jury trial and were presumed innocent. When the laws changed, the colonists argued that the men had a right to have a jury trial. They argued that their basic rights were being taken away without a trial by jury.
