Would you expect to find leaf eating beetles and bark eating beetles in the same communities

Biology

Explanation:

Each species within a community performs a specified role, called a niche. An ecological niche describes certain conditions required for an organism's survival, its roles and how it responds to resource distribution, along with competition for these resources.

The two species occupy separate and distinct niches by way of their feeding relationship. While they are both decomposers, yet they require different sources of food- these species are not in competition.

The makeup of biological communities is often dynamic; eventually, through changes in this makeup, a steady-state or equilibrium is reached called a climax community. While Primary succession starts off with the modification of a previously unoccupied area along with increasing variation. Several limiting factors, restrict the ability of many organisms to thrive in the area; few pioneer organisms are capable of existing within a rather limited range of tolerance, and aid in making the area more capable of supporting other species.

Frequency of allele

Explanation:

Hardy Weinberg Equilibrium is used to calculate the allelic as well as genotypic frequency

Allelic frequency of dominant and recessive allele is represented by p and q respectively whereas genotypic frequency of dominant genotype is represented by p2 and q2 respectively

Given:

H allele (p) = hairy heffalump (dominant)

h allele (q) = hairless heffalump (recessive)

36% of heffalump population is hairless represents the % of recessive genotype, hh (q2) =36%

Calculation of frequency of the h allele (q) :

Frequency of genotype hh (q2) will be: 36/100=0.36 or 0.6*0.6

Frequency of h allele (q) will be 0.6

Why does the shape of the lighted part of the moon change when viewed from earth?
Irina18 [472]

Answer:

The half of the Moon that points toward the Sun looks bright because it is lit by sunlight. The Moon appears to change shape because we see different amounts of the lit part as the Moon orbits Earth. ... As it moves around Earth, more and more of the lit side comes into view.
